Marion Bay. Flaherty's Beach. Recently named the 4th best beach in Australia, Flaherty's Beach is nestled entirely between Hardwicke Bay and Point Turton. The white sandbars extend almost 500 metres from the high-water mark. The most warmest water on Yorke's sits between these pristine sandbars. This beach can be driven on and is a popular.. Most locals prefer to stay along the coast and towns like Wallaroo, Port Vincent and smaller fishing towns like Marion Bay, Port Hughes and Point Turton are all popular. I would stay a few nights at Wallaroo then a few nights at somewhere like Marion bay. The coastal towns are far more appealing for holidaymakers than the inland towns IMHO.
