In a MacPherson Strut-style front suspension (Mazda's go-to setup), the camber gain is fairly minimal at typically less than 1 degree of negative camber gained in the first bit of suspension travel. As the suspension excessively compresses in bump, the camber gain is typically reduced or lost. This is called the camber gain curve and is described as a curve because it is dynamically changing.

Yes, macpherson struts don't have the best camber curve. After a certain compression point the camber gain is always positive. I was discussing this exact topic on civicxi a few days ago. @tezzasaurusrex measured that, at least for the type R, the inflection point is near the stock static ride height. Our cars have a lot of caster though, so the camber curve alone isn't that useful.. We haven't added camber plates on the top of strut, all we did was use the eliptical camber bolts. The car is a little lower than stock. When pointed straight we have almost -3.0 neg camber. Now at Thunderhill I noticed (as an observer) that under hard cornering the front wheel looked like it had positive camber.
