The Fujifilm X-Pro1 is a new compact system camera featuring a retro design that bears more than a passing resemblance to the Leica M-series. At the heart of the X-Pro1 is the 16.3 megapixel APS-C sized "X-Trans" CMOS sensor, which has a new type of colour filter array that mimics film grain and no optical low-pass filter for higher resolution images.. The X-Pro1 was my first Fujifilm X Series camera when I purchased it in the spring of 2012. The promotional sample images from the X-Pro1 and the XF 35mm f/1.4 R shown back in 2012 had me in awe. Could this small camera with an APS-C sensor really put out these amazing images and how would it stack up against my full-frame Canon EOS 5D Mark II?

Fujifilm XPro1 review
Fujifilm XF1, X-E1 and X10. The Fujifilm X series is a line of digital cameras produced by Fujifilm.. Fujifilm X-Pro1: Mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera that uses the "X-Trans CMOS" sensor and the Fujifilm X-mount system of lenses. It was announced on January 10, 2012, and launched in March 2012... Noise, Resolution and Sensitivity. We have tested numerous cameras with 16.3-million-pixel sensors, and the Fujifilm X-Pro1 is among the best. This camera can record a staggering amount of detail, as can be seen in our test chart resolution images, and it clearly benefits from the lack of low-pass filter.
